As many know, I am a flashlight superfreak and am always trying to come up with different weaponlight packages. I also take a lot of training classes and realize that people (like myself) want the most light for the least amount of weight and cost.
Many folks like to take the SF E2D and turn it into a weaponlight by adding a VLTOR E-Series mount. This setup works just fine, but has some shortfalls IMHO. First, the lamp module is NOT shock isolated. Second, the tailcap is disliked for its sharpness (have run into this issue myself). Lumens output on this light is also rated at 60.
The goal was to take the best parts of the E2D and combine them with a shock isolated bezel and a couple of options for a tailcap. Out of this came the WG6D and WG9D. The "WG" stands for Weapons Grade, the number designates the voltage and the "D" stands for Defender.
As always, consumer feedback is appreciated.
