Ah yes, the standard M3 questions. It will fit, but most people use a mount that is designed for the M3 to attach to a Picatinny standard rail. Some people notice that after they squeeze the M3 onto a mil-spec rail that it is somewhat loose when they put it back on their Glock or Springfield. GG&G makes an intereface and so does Streamlight to name a few that will allow it fit correctly on your M44 HG's...

The Fobus rails appear to vary slightly from mil-spec 1913 rails. My M3 fits perfectly on my Fobus handguards. To fit properly on a mil-spec rail, however, I use a GG&G adapter.
