I know the run times but how long are they lasting if stored with batteries in them.I know i can leave my aimpoint on a gun in the gun safe for atleast a year if i dont use it.

Beg to differ. Alkaline batteries typically have a three to four year shelf life. Lithiums are usually good for ten years. I don't beleive you can get "N" batteries in lithium.
