Hello Girard, well alkaline batteries have a short shelf life, no matter what they are in. So that being said, the Lithium AA's would probably give you the longest shelf life...

Beg to differ. Alkaline batteries typically have a three to four year shelf life. Lithiums are usually good for ten years. I don't beleive you can get "N" batteries in lithium.

No problem girard. I have had some luck with "industrial" Alkaline batteries lasting for 2 years or more, but generally notice some power loss...
