I have noticed that my new M900 will slide fore and aft between the rail a few mm with moderate pressure on the grip and it does not lock solidly to the rail on my FF RAS. It will wobble side to sid a bit too. It this normal? Can I fix this with some kind of adjustment or is this a warranty issue? The ARMS rail flips VERY easily and does not seem to be locking up well.

That does not sound good man. I don't have the model 900, so I can't compare it with anything I have. I do however have a number of ARMS mounts and they are all rock solid. You should probably contact whoever you bought it from and see if you can exchange it. If that is not an option, contact Surefire and see if they will help you out. Good luck.

I have one on an ARMS SIR and another on a GG&G rail. Both lock up very solid and have no play or wobble. They are both pretty difficult to lock in place because they fit so snugly. It doesn't sound right to me and you should probably get it checked out by the manufacturer of your rail or by SureFire.

My M900 fits my #45, #51, RAS, and even a GG&G UFIR all the same .... very, VERY tight, absolutely NO play at all. Chris

Hi Devl: I got my M900A from Sableco a week ago and it lock up very solid,no play at all. At first it is kind of hard to put it on my RAS2 but when I line up the rail on the Arms mount it lock up tight also when I turn the Arms lever it has some resistance. Hope this help. M4C

I had remembered that thread and did just that but it did not help my lever is VERY easy to flip which I think is the problem. I will contact Surefire and see what I need to do. I never even fired a single round with the thing mounted.

My 900 will have a small amount of wobble, but no slide. It is a tough SOB to fit on my SIR. I thought this was normal, but I will now check with surefire.

A few months back a guy at the range had the M900 attached to his M-4 Bushy. I remember when I tried it out the light wobbled and felt a little loose. Today he has the M500 version and two reasons were 1. He could not get use to using a vertical grip hold on his M4 2. He felt that his M900 was not secure. I have no idea what type of mount he used (I think it was the GG&G under). As much as I like the idea of the M900 a lot of people told me the M500 is way better. They advertise the M900 is in use with the SEALS and US Marshals SOG so...

Probably the whole handguard wobbled.

Combat_Jack, before you send it back, try putting the batteries in the grip upside down. Then see if the LEDs work.

The AR god strikes again! Thanks Neil, works fine now. Why is the LED sensitive to that, but the main light always works? Now I am an upper away from a complete setup.

Keep in mind the M900 uses a SWAN throw lever designed to allow folks to swap out optics and still hold zero. If you have slop, I would look at the rail system (tolerances) first.

It wobbles on the flattop of the Bushmaster upper. Also all 4 rails on the KAC FF RAS. The throw lever is REALLY easy to flip wich is not right. Sent back to Surefire for replacement mount.

Mine attaches solidly to those cheesy plastic Fobus M33 handguards. There's a bit of play in the handguards themselves, but the light itself mates tightly.

There was a coupon? I'll bet that explains why they shorted me a bulb. Thanks for the heads-up.

Treetop, That is a bitchen gun. Mine, when done will look almost exactly like yours. The exceptions are a Hogue grip and I will have the Gemtech flash suppressor that you can quick attach the Gemtech sound suppressor to. I like that weapon!
