Would the Streamlight M3 light fit this rail from Bushmaster? If not, what light will?

Thanks,
Wes

Hate to disagree with you C4 but I used that mount to mount an M6 on my Bushy. I believe the M3 will fit as well.

I can get mine to fit onto a mil spec rail but its such a tight fit that i would expect it to loosen its fit significantly on my glock if i was to do it too many times. I've put the ggg mount on my non-rail gun and the difference in fit is obvious, it works fine.

Curt and C4, Yes it is a tight fit but since I don't intend to ever mount it on any of my Glocks, it's not a problem for me.

Either Fobus or Insight themselves make a 10-15 dollar polymer plate that attachs to the underside of the handguards. The m3 clips right on. FYI Insight also makes a universal shotgun mount that attaches to the mag tube of a shotgun. Very skick to get on and off.

Anyone have a linkey for this plate by insight?

The GG&G comes highly recommended from me. Mine works great. Not sure about the others.

Here is my M3 mounted on a foward rail. The rail bolts to the holes in the handguard, and was $18 at the funshow. The M3 didn't fit too well when I first tried mounting it, but I found that a small piece of paper wedged in between the light and the rail fixed it. The grip is an Oly model that was $50. Works good for me!

I just got the Bushy triple mount last week and I took the M6 from my Glock to try it out and it's a very tight fit, I didn't even try to get it to the first notch, was afraid to break it.

I put my M-3 on my RAS and had no problems, my buddy just put his on a rail panel from GGG that mounts under the handguard. I have used both M-3 mounts from stream light and GGG and the GGG is more money but 100 times better mount, its metal and the one from streamlight is plastic alot harder to get off.

I'm kind of confused here, will a M3 fit on a ARMS SIR? Without the special mount?

Here is an email from Insight regarding weaver rails, because I have the Bushy triple mount myself. And if it breaks off, I have this email for free replacement of the M3 or M6. Thanks for inquiring with Insight Technology. All of our Slide-Lock top lights (M3, M3-LED, M6, M6-IR, M5, LAM-100 series) will fit the weaver rail. With a new light/rail combination, you may find a tight fit, but once you've used it a few times, the interface becomes worn in. This is normal. If you have further questions or comments, don't hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Samantha Millett Insight Technology, Inc. 877-744-4802 Ext. 1909 www.insightlights.com

i also called insight to check if i needed the adapter, but they said that it should fit fine on my BMAS handguard. yep, my M6 fits like a glove...a very tight glove, but i dont plan on taking it off much, if ever. im quite pleased. take care. steven

Correct me if I'm wrong. but i think the picatinny has a bigger side than the weaver? Therefore the weaver you can "jam" the M3 on it and I probably won't take mine off either, the GG&G mounts looks tempting, but for $35, not worth it, it's like adding an adaptor to an adaptor.
