Ever heard of a Surefire 6 volt 7LSM Laser module?

What do you know about this early design?

I have a bunch of those that need new laser modules. I have some adapters being made. What do you want to know? It was replaced by the L70 which was replaced by L72. Visibles are about 635nm

What do you think of them?
Why are they broken?
Are they prone to breakage or something?

Here's a question I've had for a while. I have a Surefire 6V light on my Sig 229. Will the laser modules screw into this housing (after removing the lamp assembly), or do I need to buy another housing to use the lasers?

Wes, do you know if the GREEN visible laser modules are out yet from Surefire?

Assuming you have a P114 for your SIG 229, then no, the L72 will not screw on. SureFire Laser sights are not compatible with the Nitrolon or Millennium Series of Handgun WeaponLights.

If you have a Classic 640R, you can screw an L72 onto an A12 Adapter which screws onto the the battery housing.

In general, to install an L72 Red (or L75 IR, or L80 Green) onto a SureFire WeaponLight Housing, you'll need an A12 Adapter to hold the second half of your SF223A (or the second SF123A) because the Classic housings generally hold one SF123A's length of shock dampened battery stick and the [6V] Lamp Modules hold the other length.

So to attach an L72 to a shotgun WeaponLight housing requires an A12. With a SureFire Shotgun Forend and a Classic Handgun WeaponLight you have Laser parts interchangeability. Great isn't it?

The Millennium Universal WeaponLight System features the MH90 Millennium Universal Housing.
The MH90 holds two lengths of SF123A (or a whole SF223A, two thirds of an SF323A or half an SF423A).
The Laser Module such as the L72 is attached directly to the MH90. Simple isn't it?

Respectfully,

Al
