I have tried 2 different eBay spring loaded models of bipods and the most recent one arrived broken like a total piece of ChiCom crap!

Recommendations preferably without springs and heavy duty!?

thanks

I have Harris , Versapod, and CAA.

CAA is super light weight, and reasonably solid and carries very well

Versapod is a little wiggley, but looks the best. Carries OK

Harris looks like a mud fence, but it is solid as hell. Carries like crap.

If I had to say best...
  It would be CAA.

Harris BRM-S  6"-9"

I recommend this one.

Stop buying cheap imitation shit.

There is a reason Harris has been the go-to for so long.

The Harris bipods have about 99% of the sniper market with very good reason - they work and are built to last.  Go with any of the S series models - either the BRM or LM models.  The BRM models are 6" to 9" tall and the LM models are 9-13" tall depending on your needs.

I would not waste my money on anything else.

I like these pretty well.

I also like my GG&G XDS 2. I haven't shot off an Atlas yet.

Had a Harris BRM on the Larue mount. Seemed to work fine for 5.56. No matter how tight I cinched it up, the sling mount interface wouldn't stay tight for more than 4 rounds of 308. Went to the Atlas with its Larue mount- dead solid. Get the Atlas.

No. It locks in each position.

I use the Blackhawk model that looks like a Harris but has both swivel and traverse movement and a built in podlok lever.

This CHiCom POS is worthless!  I tried to fix it and its worse now!  The Atlas looks like what I am after.  I want something that is sturdy and absolutely not flimsy and moving all over the place!

Thanks!

Have to save up for the Bt10 v8!  thanks!

You could have saved some money and gotten a better bipod with the GG&G XDS-2.
