I am sure this is a stupid question and I apologize but what is the rubber looking thing at the bottom of the clip? I have seen then on a few pictures but I dont know what they are or what they are for. I don't want to hijack this thread but could someone PM me the answer?

I'd suggest you ditch the nylon hook snap thingy I tried a set up like that for awhile but the the snap had alot of ware on it from the steel plate, enough I was worried about it failing.

I like both of these styles of snap-hooks, I’ve built a few slings and have never had one fail as of yet. This metal type seems to be the most popular style.

-I would like one just like his. Does anyone make them. If so where can I get one at? These have the plastic hooks. I would like one like his that is all webbing and the metal sling hoops with the metal latch / hook. No plastic in it basically. But thank you for trying.

Clip? Clip? Get out the torches and pitchforks everybody! That device under the magazine is used to aid in the removal of magazines from the mag well and from the operator's magazine pouches.

Whoops...sorry guys...haven't checked this thread in awhile. I have since moved the rear attachment to the rear of my stock (and a CTR now)

Here are the pics of where it attaches and how it hangs

what's up guys, hey I just got my LaRue 7" handgaurd and I was wondering what sling and connectors do I keep seeing in these pics (like in the above pic)? I want to get one for mine to eliminate the original one onder the sight post. By the way my hand gaud is not on yet and I was wondering does the sling ring under the sight post get in the way of putting accessories on the bottom rail?

My general purpose heavy duty midlength carbine with gear

ETA - Left side view shown are Viking-LaRue sling QR sling swivels and Daniel Defense offset rail mount

Viking Tactics®-LaRue tan padded sling VTAC-LR2

My other LMT M4 type carbine with Blue Force Gear Vickers VCAS two point slings with KAC (front) & Vltor (rear) QR sling swivels, mounted on my KAC rail is KAC QR sling mount
