Can anyone recommend a good bipod for my 16" HBAR Rockriver AR15. I have the short M4 Handguards and did not know if that would bother mounting it in anyway.

I put a harris on my colt, 13 inch and there about as good as they get. Cost was 70.00 for the bipod, and 10.00 for the mount. Very sturdy.

I use a Harris UL 9-13" on my carbines. It is mounted on a Fobus QD universal equipment mount so I can switch out from the bipod to the light and foregrip on my AAC rail.

Are the Harris Bipods collapsable, or are they a fixed Bipod. What is a good site to look at them on? Any Suggestions. SrA Trix

The Harris is collapsible within a fixed range, and there are different ranges of adjustment available. The 7 to 13 inch model mentioned above is probably the most popular for rifles used in the field. There's a shorter model for bench resters, and a longer one for use by those who do most of their shooting in the sitting position. Have had a Harris 7-13 model for well over 20 years, and never had a single problem. Because of my own attempts to do a modification on the mounting bracket a couple of years ago, I broke a wing off the mount clamp. Purely my own idiocy. Called Harris for a replacement, and they sent my a new bracket assy, totally w/o charge. Really good folks[:D]

Who tends to have the best prices on the Harris bipods? I'm looking at getting the BRS model for my tack driver, and have seen prices in the $90 range. Is that about as good as I'm going to find? Thanks.
