I was watching a show on Green Berets and it showed them jumping with what looked like a scaled down M1950 case for the M4. Anyone have any info on these?

You just fold it in half (or so) and tie it off with some break away tape.  Nothing too fancy.
Airborne!

I have seen new, nylon M1950s, they mostly sit and look pretty in the Supply room.  Have to wear out all the old ones before the new ones can be used.  IIRC the lower leg tiedown strap is now velcro,(I can say velcro, im a civ now)[devil]

I've been in for 11yrs(9yrs on jump status) and the leg strap has always been hook pile tape(velcro)

I don't think the M1950 case will allow a magazine to be in an M4. The jump cases I saw on this show had M4s with mags in the gun.

I saw some canvas 1950s like this at Bragg that were modified.  At Jump School, in my NG LRS unit and in Panama it was always supposed to be(originaly as issued) OD green twill tape, many times replaced with 1/4in cotton webbing tied in a slip knot.

Like everyone said, the standard 1950 will adjust down. And, it will hold an M4 with mag, though its a tight fit. I just jumped mine last week.
