I'm getting a scope for my SR25... I've got several USO scopes and Vortex, aimpoint, ACOG.. but I need a scope under $1k for this rifle. I'm spread too thin for something more expensive.

Anyways, I almost bought the next Vortex Gen II 3-15x but I just wasn't impressed, so back to the drawing board. I have an older PST 2-10 FFP that I like and I thought about getting another one. It would be easy on the wallet. But are there any other low to mid power scopes I should check out? Used is fine... even preferred. I'd like a USO B10 but can't find a good price or used one anywhere.

You can pick up the 3-10 nf shv new in your price range.Or any of the higher mag versions if you don't mind lightly used.

Leupold vx6 3-18 can be had new for 900 or less

If you go the lightly used route you can get one of the Bushnell hdmr's or one of the nf 2.5-10's that pop up fairly frequently.

You can get a Trijicon 1-8 Accupower for $1300 or so.  Maybe less.  I don't know if it meets your needs but I have thought I would go that way for my SR25 if I replaced my TA-11.

Is a zero stop a must?

Don't really care about zero stop. I've been looking at NF and am now leaning that direction. I'll give trijicon a look too.

I paid 1050 for my trijicon and im totally happy for the money.Only thing id swap it for is the s&b 1-8

The Bushnell Elite Tactical 1-8.5x may be worth a look,  there's a few on the EE.

SWFA is another good option.
