Made in Japan, supposedly same factory the top 5 scope manufacturers are using. I read up on it some before purchasing. Its reticle is suppost to have much better daylight brightness and be more crisp than any others are in that range. Glass is very close to my razor. Eye box and relief is good on all ranges. True 1 power, no fisheye, but It is built like a tank thou, and weights like one too. Lifetime warranty. I'm happy, but I won't turn down the trijicon $1150 listed above either. But they are out of stock no backorder no notification, so. I also really like the turrets since they are so similar to my other higher end scopes lift and set then push down to lock. Getting past the name on the side was the hardest part for me. But I feel I got more than my money's worth...
