Hey all.
A shop that is semi-local to me has Tru Glo red dot optics. They aren't very expensive, and was wondering if this would be a cheap way to get into using/zeroing, and learning how to use a red dot?
I know Tru Glo makes nice sights for most firearms, but how are their optics? I tried the search function and didn't get anything in the way of thread hits. I don't have a lot of money to throw down on an optic, and generally I think it is a bad idea to rely on them... but when push comes to shove, having a red dot seems like a decent fast way to acquire a target.

Any input? Should I same for a Vortex or something instead?
