Ok I'm new to AR15 and now I have 2 ar15's ready to go can someone tell me what range I zero these 2 rifle at and, best way I should sight it in.
My 1st AR15 is home defense - Eotech xps 2-0 and 3x magnifier with rail mounted flip up front sight and flip up BUIS. (sight in BUIS first then Eotech?)
2nd AR15 is set up with Long range sniper scope.
Any help would be appreciated.

Zero in at 50 yds on the iron sights.I use a center hold and rest the sight picture in the middle of the target and not like a loli pop.As far as the optics you should have controls for windage and elevation.I would use a BUIS on both or any flat top so sight in the irons first.Raising the front post lowers impact lowering the post raises impact.

I sight every high power rifle I own at 200 yards. A 50 yard zero will be very very close at 200 with an AR15.

I sight in my EoTech at 50 yards. This will give a flat trajectory out to about 200

I sight my scoped rifle at 100 yards. The scope has bullet drop compensation settings for 200, 300, etc.... assuming it was sighted in at 100.

Why are you running a 3x magnifier on a home defense rig? Are your hallways that long?
