Don’t think I’ve seen any Leica riflescopes in this thread.  Here’s an ER 3.5-14x42 with the ASV elevation turret and IBS reticule on my 308. The scope has limited elevation adjustment so I put it in a 20 MOA N.F. Unimount.  It does have a zero stop.

Looks like you better get premium shelving before those sweet scopes hit the floor with 100 pounds of ammo laying on top of them.

That shelf doesn't normally have ammo on it, just empty range bags.  Loaded up some ammo on them for the pics and didn't realize how bad it was sagging til after I took the pics.

Have you gotten it to the range yet?  What are your thoughts on the reticle so far?  I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the 3-15 version.

I sold my Steiner 4-16 last year because it was just to big and the mil-dot reticle was to bulky for precision work.  The T5Xi series seem really promising.

One more Elcan picture. I've got my eye out for a FDE docter to  go with, I may settle for a black one but I'm in no hurry and don't even know if I'll like it.  Plus, the scope and base are already FDE so why not.

I realize this is a primarily tactical forum and thread, but I either missed or there is not yet present a Kahles scope.

Here is my favorite lightweight hunting rig:  The scope is a Kahles Helia CL 2-7x36mm with German 4A reticle in Talley QD rings and bases mounted on  Remington 700 Custom Shop Mountain Rifle with McMillan Kevlar stock, air gauged 24" CS barrel, blueprinted action, chambered in .280 Remington.  Brownells Latigo shooting sling.  Shoots well.  Kahles glass is amazing.

I've had a few.  Still have some of them.
First scope I paid over $1,000 for was a Nightforce 2.5-20x24 in a Larue mount:

How do you like that scope and reticle? I'm looking at picking one up and using it shooting from 0-400 yards. I didn't read the first page before I posted this and idk how to delete it?

Sold my NXS Compact and replaced it with this NXS 3.5-15x50 with MOAR reticle.  Wow! Do I like this scope.  It is a little heavier but otherwise I have nothing bad to say about it thus far.
Boresighted it and shot it for the first time today...despite the pouring rain, had a great time.

That was a premium scope in its day.  So was this real Rochester NY Bausch & Lomb Balvar 5 from the 1950s in B&L QD mount with adjustments in the base.  It is on a Remington 725 in .280 Rem.  I still hunt with it on occasion, although the collectors value limits its field use now.  Apologies for the nostalgia, but these were uber premium scopes when new.

Ive always been curious why people put a doc optic on an elcan 1-4? Clone correctness?

I did it because it looks cool and gave me an opportunity to spend even more money on the optic.  Seriously, I just wanted to try is and the elcan had the mount already, I don't know that I'll keep it.  I didn't do it because of clone correctness but because the eyebox on the specterdr isn't very forgiving, I love the optic but that is one drawback. A MRDS gives you the advantage of being able to position your head anywhere you can see the dot, I know many complain about the height over bore but for me the only time I feel I'd use the docter is in awkward positions where a cheek weld ins't going to be an option anyhow.  Plus it is a backup, i have the elcan too far back to use a BUIS, not that I can imagine a scenario where the elcan would be put out of commission and the rest of the rifle would still work but it is another piece of redundancy.

Thanks man, was just curious. I was just thinking that because the elcan has a 1x setting.
