In the search for a scope for my new DPMS 308 I am confronted with numerous choices. I am aware of the obvious top shelf optics, such at Ziess, S&B, Nightforce, and the mid to upper class such as Leupold.
Are there any brands I should shy away from?
Nikon?
BSA?
TASCO?
Super Sniper?
Simmons?
Redfield?
B&L?

Bushnell?

I have always had good service out of Bushnell scopes. Had one that got abused pretty badly but always held zero and never fogged up.

You're gonna want to go with good quality scopes like Nikko, BSA, and the really inexpensive Tascos.

Shy away from Leupold, Nikon, Schmidt und Bender, USO, Burris, Kahles, etc.

As a matter of fact, if you have any of the below list, e-mail me and I'll dispose of them for you.
