i just orded a 3-9x42mm ncstar illuminated rubber armor scope and was wondering if anyone else had tried these out. The price seemed decent and for plinking and deer hunting i thought that this would do me fine. This will do until i save up to get an acog i hope....your thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Had one. Threw it away.

While it was cool (rubber on the outside, red and green illuminated reticles), it did not hold a zero worth the crap. I got an ACOG, and the difference is just amazing. So much clearer viewing, better reticles.

I looked through one at a gun show once. I don't know what model it was but the guy wanted $80 for it. It was'nt very clear. I was thinking about buying a cheap scope for my 10/22 but screw that.

I might have tried it if it was only $10 or so.

I had the NcStar compact in 3-9 power with illuminated receptacle on one of my ARs. Clear sight picture but it would not hold adjustment and it wasn't mount problems. Had to readjust the sight every time i took rifle shooting. After 3 times shooting and 3 times readjusting, i sold it.

i have one on my rifle, its great. Holds zero just fine, the optics are clear but cast a greenish tint to every thing.

The only thing i dislike is the 2" eye relief.

In my opinion, for the $60 you will spend on one they cant be beat.

I had the 3x9x42 rubberized illuminating and it worked great, no issues and it held zero on my 20" H-bar.

If you dont like it send it back for a refund.

I paid 50 for mine new.

Could not get a clear picture in my scope. Focused on the inside, blurry on the outside.
Junk.

I will never ever spend money on ANYTHING NcStar again.

Just .02

I bought a NC Star reflex at a gun show; it lasted exactly 5 rounds on my M1A.

I'll never buy one of thier products again.
