Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Opinions on ARMS #39 mount

I have a Colt 20" A2 that I am thinking of getting an Eotech for. What are the opinions on the ARMS 39 mount. How durable is it and would it ever snag anything under it? Looks like it just rests on top of the handguard. Also, would a Samson handguard be good enough to just mount the EO right onto the handguards or would the ARMS be a better way to go. Pics of both setups would help me tons. Thanks,  Terry

The ARMS #39A2 is a very good mount, but for about the same price, you could probably get a flat top reciever for your rifle and be done with your optic mounting problems.
