For a short range m4 type weapon w/ eotech?

Is a BUIS really even required w/ a fixed front sight tower using the window (w/failed battery)?

That is a personal preference kind of thing.  If you're not using a riser then I'd suggest getting a folding BUIS (like the Troy).  If you use a riser than a nice simple fixed BUIS like the LaRue or Cav-Arms are really nice.

That trick works at CQB distances for COM shots, but I'd still get a BUIS.

LaRue for fixed BUIS, TROY for Flip Up. IMHO.

I have LMT and like it.  No flip up its just there.  Makes the sight a little busy but if you were to need it
one less thing to go wrong.

If you go flip ups go Troy.

Get the Troy flip up if you go that route. It's better to have and not need, than to need and not have.
