Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - .22 scope OK on an AR?

I don't know jack about scopes.  I have a Tasco 4x20 on my Ruger 10/22.  Can I put it on a flat-top AR or will the recoil damage the scope?

I don't think any scope can be destroyed by the AR-15's recoil, or lack of recoil we should say.


If it's just for the range, anything can work. If you're planning on doing anything else - consider a better scope.
