Hello all, I did a search and didn't see any post that asked this.  I have a M4 setup, (16" barrel) with an Aimpoint.  What distance do you guys recommend sighting it in for, and what is the best procedure?  Thanks!

Most prefer 50 yards for both an Aimpoint and a BUIS.

50 Yards.

Center the dot in an 8 inch shoot and see target.  Adjust until your groups are in the center.

Ok, one more question,

What's the acceptable grouping for an Aimpoint?

You should be able to cover a 5 shot group with a Quarter at 50 yds with a 4MOA Dot. give or take an Inch with XM193 ammo.

All depends on you really.....

FYI - a quarter is 15/16" in diameter.  Used them to measure distance from the bottom edge of my lapel to where the branch insignia needed to be.

Well, considering that a 4MOA Aimpoint's red dot is 2" at 50 yards, it's hard to get more precise than a 2" group at 50 yards due to the dot being 2" itself.

Just cause it's 4MOA does not mean you cannot turn out a decent group
