Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt Reflex Sighting System Batteries?

Just got one that is almost brand new in the box but I need batteries for it. I believe they stopped making this scope (for lack of a better word) in the 80's or 90's. The batteries are 5/8" in diameter and are 5/8" long. There are 2 of them but they are dead. There are no markings on them other than a large"1"  above the "+" symbol on the pos. side. Any ideas out there? TIA  Marc

I think you have the C-More reflex sight.  Posting a picture here would help.  If what you have is a C-More then IIRC you need 1/3N cell batteries (same as the Aimpoint), also known as a 2L76.

Check out this site C-More and see if this is the optic you have.
