"So how would one range find with the dots all being the same size? "

One wouldn't.  It doesn't range find but it does provide impact points.  In daylight it shouldn't be hard to guess a range, and at night it will at least give you a point to ajust fire with.  It should be a very fast second round hit system.  Obviously the Eo-tech is probably limited to no ranging due to the way humans see the reflected light.

There is a way to range with the 65MOA ring but it requires a standing 6ft tall person, and obviously not all people stand 6ft tall and most people involved in a gun fight will never appear in your sights as a full standing silouett so that is almost worthless.
