Aimpoint magnifier question

Can you mount the reflex sight-- Aimpoint or EO tech a few inches in front of the magnifier while still allowing it to operate properly?

I thought it might solve my problem to mount one of the new 600M EO techs [when they come out] similarly and just swap the 3x magnifier with a PVS-14 with 3X magnifier for night use.

Then all I would possibly need is a riser and throwlever combo to put the aimpoint 3x in the right plane with the EO-tech and allow quick removeal and re-attachment.

If I understand your question correctly, then yes, you can do this. In fact, GG&G makes one mount that you can switch between the magnifier and NVD's. Check it out here.

I just need to know if I can mount the EO 3-4 inches in front of the occular lense of the 3power magnifier and still retain functionality of the 3-power magnifier.

Does that magnify the reticle as well? So it appears much larger?

Also, what magnifier is that? Brand/model.

Thanks...am considering magnified optic over my current EoTech...this might solve the issue.

Its the Aimpoint 3X magnifier. It magnifies everything in front of it, the reticle and the target.

Thanks those pictures say it all. I'm psyched for the 600 meter EO techs.

I think that's the best route to day/night combat optics availible right now.

Boom, nice pics. I'm planning my first build and have a question. Does the gun in the pics have a front sight post. While I don't see one, people have told me that it only appears as a blur, which I thought I might be noticing. How many yards out is that setup good for? Thanks.

Joe yes it does but the sight is folded down. What your seeing is the back edge of the EOTech. If you move them closer togeother it's no longer an issue. I can use that setup for 500 to 600 yards shots with no problems.

The top picture gives you the best view of what it really looks like. The lower pic is showing a reflection off the back lens of the 3X caused by the cameras flash.

Boom, how good is that Eotech good for without the 3X. Do you think a front sight post would be a problem?
