Kudos. I contacted several outfits advertising Eotech & LaRue mounts, all of whom were out at the time. Asked to be contacted when they restocked. Last Friday pm got an email at work too late to respond, so I replied from home Sat. Shipped Tuesday- arrived today. I'd use again.

Went to the range Saturday afternoon and decided to shoot up a box of Winchester Valu Pak 45 grain "Varmint" rounds. Not the best choice for a Varmint Special, but I only had a handful of XM193. I mounted a couple of 6" Shoot N Sees on a 42" diameter cardboard circle at 100 yards. The Eotech instructions said it was pretty much dialed in out of the box. Shot, no hole. Shot, ditto. Well, it was a grey day and it's hard to pick up a hole in brown cardboard with my eyes, so I strolled down and took a look. Pristine cardboard and no marks on the ground, so I dialed it down a full turn and hit the top of the cardboard. Somewhere between another half and full turn I was on target. Or at least within +/- 8-10 inches, vertically stringing.

I swapped for the XM193s and adjusted and hit the other Shoot N See 5 times.

Also had a good chat with a guy there shooting with his son. Great day, really satisfied with the LaRue/Eotech combo.

G&R Tactical is always one of the first places I check for any gear.
Plus Grant did a terrific job building my government profile 20" upper.

Grant is a great person to deal with. I bought an Aimpoint ML3 from him tonight and was very impressed with his service. Definitely will be my go to person for parts from now on.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too!

Let me add my praise -- Grant may not be the absolute cheapest (but usually comes pretty close) source for AR components, but he is probably the most reliable and easy to deal with vendor I have had the pleasure of giving my hard earned money to.

No hesitation at all in endorsing his services!

Shipped on Wednesday, got it Today. 100% Pleasure to deal with.

(PS. Now I understand why some of you are such LaRue & Troy fan. I just received them and they don't even compare to what I was using...)

Maybe one of you could help me. Following is an email I sent to LaRue. regarding a rear sight I might use on their mount with the Eotech. I haven't heard from them, but you might have some ideas. No biggie and am in no rush, something for down the road..... Thanks for any input.

Dear Sir,

I just received an Eotech 552 along with your LaRue mount for my Bushmaster Varmint Special. I have a B.M.A.S. Front Flip Up Sight

Front Sight

on the barrel and am wondering which of the rear sights in the Bushmaster catalog would mount best on your LaRue mount behind the Eotech to co witness-

These flip up
#1

#2

This one does not flip up
Non flip-up

I would use this as a back up, so if the non flip up matches up best I could use it and store it in the butt stock compartment, assuming it fits.

If none of these rear sights would work, could you please suggest one?

I'm really looking forward to using the Eotech/LaRue combo on my rifle.

Sincerely,
Callgood

They are slow to respond to email, but really great people.  They will bend over backwards to accommodate, but sometimes it takes a week or more to get in touch with them.

I'd have to say that Grant can answer your e-mails, IMs, and posted AR15.com questions frightingly quick. I'm not sure where else you can get service like that.

I think Grant doesn't sleep, and is a 24hr insomniac zombie sitting by the computer just waitin' for a email or message.   No one responds quicker than him.

I too am impressed with Grant (and Roxanne). I have ordered gear from G&R in the past, mostly nickel and dime stuff, but Grant has always been top notch as far as CS and answering questions about future purchases. G&R will always have my business.

What I want to know is when Mark LaRue will get into the market of flip up low profile rear sights. I had my mind set to the Troy's,until I read the Troy canted thread.

I am easily swayed Grant

The way my "luck" has been going lately,if there was one out of 10,000 Troy's that were canted, rest assured I would surely get the canted one.For the price of a Troy,it should be flawless IMO and the consumer shouldn't have to think twice before ordering one.If LaRue doesn't have plans for a LP buis,I will most likely get ARMS.

I would gladly pay more for a LaRue since the QC there seems to be outstanding, and I like supporting a company that believes the QC should lie with the company, not the consumer.

LaRue HAS to be working on a fold down BUIS,RIGHT!!!????

I also have to give praise to Grant! I ordered an Aimpoint M3 last Friday. It was mailed Saturday and I received it at work on Monday. Excellent service as usual.
