TNSTAAFL

A poor man's BUIS is at least, still a BUIS.
The airsoft toy is not a BUIS.

Remember what the "I" in BUIS stands for.

I have a strong feeling that this is more like a "BUPS"? [puke]

ICS told me it's 100% made of metal - iron and Aluminum.  And it's "heat treated".

You sound convinced.

Buy it then.

Sheesh. You guys are harsh. Three possible outcomes:
1) The thing works.
2) It doesn't work or is really cheesy, or
3) It works, but it's reliability is questionable.

If it works, then who's the loser when he just saved $45? If it doesn't work, then you're out S&H. The biggest problem may be that it works, but the reliability is questionable. Then you're always plagued by the nagging doubt and desire to get the ARMS.

But seriously - for most of us armchair commandos, who's to say it couldn't function properly, at least without first having inestigated it. Of course, I'll let someone else be a guinea pig first. [:D]

Lumpy's been an optics snob since he got his ACOG. [;D]

No, just after 16 years of buying guns and stuff for them, Ive discovered you only buy quality once.

No snob to it.  Save $40 now, and then be out another $100 when you replace it.

Ive never understood soliciting opinions then disregarding them.

We could always visit airsoft boards to see how airsoft TOYS work.

There are a lot of knock offs of a lot of companies. The problem is that all the examples I have seen are made of pot metal or cheap plastic. That is fine for toy guns like airsoft stuff, but it doesn't begin to work or hold up on real weapons. On top of that the junk is made by Chinese labor that just love to get our money to use against us when ever where ever possible. Heat treated, interprets to melt metal to make cheap pot metal part of design we steal from American company to sell back to other dumb Americans.
Bad shootin, Jack

This is the ONLY gun related site I have ever visited where folks consider and as unthinkably as it may sound, actually buy and install TOY knock-off parts on their rifles! (The Crane knock-off's come to mind).

Then the original poster comes off as perplexed when folks shoot them down?

This site is such a trip at times. LOL

I like Aimpoints better too as I get confused easily with so many red spots in an eo.
I know, I know, I must be confused about a lot of things.
Good shootin, Jack
