Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Springfield 4-14X40 1st Gen Scope?

Any good for just general plinking?  Also is it the 30mm tube or 1"?  I'm pretty sure all the 56mm Obj. scopes are 30mm, but I'm not sure about the small Obj. scopes.  Scope has the BDC for 5.56, it's a factory Refurb. and the price was right for me at $259, for any of you that may be interested the Dec. Natchez's catalog has several refurb. SA scope models to choose from 1st Gen as well as 3rd Gen.  Thanks for any input.
