What works well on this rail's handle?  Scopes, Aimpoints, Eotechs ?  Not knowing much about the AR and the accessories, I would like to hear what you guys think about this item.  Is it good quality as far as the sight itself goes?  Can you guys recommend a better carry handle?  Thanks

i think the handle is made for the aimpoint.
i have one and i really like it,i dont have any optics mounted on it. i just liked the way it looked. the quality of the handle is very good. if you buy one you wont be dissappointed.

Almost nothing works well on it. If you dont have one yet and were planning to get on, skip it. Almost anything else you get will be better. If you have one already and are thinking of mounting some thing to it. See if you can sell it first.

OK  Sounds like its not the thing to get.  Im thinking about adjustable sights and something like a low magnification scope combination.  Would sights and a see through mount make the scope too high or should I just plan on having to swap them out?  Thanks for the help

I have one that came with my 2001 LEGP, and have an Aimpoint mounted on it, and currently have it on my M4gery. In that configuration, it works well. That said, as soon as I can get out from under the current SEBR purchase, my MG purchase, Christmas, and a few other expenses, I'll be upgrading to an ARMS#40 (already have it) and another Aimpoint for my M4gery, and will put the RRA piece back on the old LEGP. Like others have said, the big problems with it are weight and the fact that it severaly limits your optics choices.

Edited to add: If you're going to use optics with any magnification at all, cowitness becomes a non issue anyway!

Thanks for the replies. Talked with a guy today who said the tch would work great with see thu's and a low mag scope.  Do any of you have thoughts on this?

OK I need the best answer for iron sights that adjust for elevation and windage, and the use of a scope.  Is the best solution never having both on the rifle at the same time?

Thats the same as the mount they used to give away with the older aimpoint series. It was awful. You had to be careful how you tightened the screws. If you did it wrong it never would get tight. If you did it right, mine still had the tendency to work itself loose. I lost that thing ASAP.
