Hey Chuckie, the TA31F is an awesome ACOG and you would be happy with it. You also would do well with the TA31 (donut reticle).

Have a TA31-F on my Preban goverment carbine (16" HBAR flattop upper). It's WONDERFUL!

It can be used on a 20" barrel, but your bullet drop compensation using the reticle will be off. Read the tacked thread at the top of the forum to find out how much.

The chevron reticle is a little slower to pick up in fast shooting, but may be better for precise work. Depends on what you want to to with it. I prefer the TA31, with the donut reticle. Precisely the reason I bought both. I feel the TA11 is a faster shooting scope "in general" because of the greater eye relief, so I bought it with the donut. Have the Chevron on the TA31. --RR |
