I have to get a spotting scope before this Sat. not sure between Kowa and Leica, looking to spend $800- $1000, need advice(I am using it for match competition), thanks

Either one is excellant, I would highly recommend getting one with a 45 degree angle eye piece it is easier to see from off hand and sitting/kneeling positions.

I have recently looked through both scopes, the Leica is nice, but I would prefer the Kowa 821M, it will be a little cheaper also. Get the one with the 27 LER eyepiece.
