Just starting to shop for NV scope. Anyone have any experience or preferences?

I've been looking at US Night Vision so far.  Looking in the $1500 range. Trying to get the best I can get for the $$$ range.

Anybody got pointers on what to look for? LPI? blimishes etc.?

I'm looking for 200-300 max range. Average distance 50-100yrds not a CQC scope. It will be mounted on a AR15 16" HB. No flash suppressor so it should be able to handle flash. Targets will be deer to coyote size.  It will also sub as a night observation for limited LE use.

The thread was interesting and informative.  Does anyone have anybody have any input for the $1500 range.  Not top $$$. I've got a smaller budget.
