ReaperVelle, in my experience the 4moa is the best for all around rifle shooting. The smaller dot doesn't cover too much of the target at a distance, and allows for a better placed shot. The 8moa is great for handgun shooting at close ranges (IPSC, IDPA, USPSA, etc.) or for shotgun shooting. I haven't had a problem "finding the dot" with the 4moa, it's plenty bright at the higher settings to find immediately. I personally own 3 of them (as well as an EO Tech and an Aimpoint among others) and I feel they're unbeatable for the price, and better than the competition in the weight category.
Brownell's will realize soon that they're selling the OKO to dealers at a price that's less than what Brownell's is paying for them. I doubt that will last long. [:)] Brownell's hasn't updated to the new pricing. The price was increased in January to $220 MSRP, with dealer and distributor pricing increasing as well. This was because the Czechs increased the price, not the importer.
If you're able to get one at dealer cost from Brownell's, that's going to be the best deal. I'm sure they're going to realize their mistake soon and correct it.
[Shameless plug:] I sell them for $195, and I ship right away- I've got quite a few in stock and ready to go. I buy directly from the importer, and I also stock any accessories that are currently available in the US for the OKO. SC3s and SC4s are still backordered, possibly waiting in Customs. I should have them soon.
