I know that the Knight 600 meter flip up rear is elevation adjustable, but it is long range only sight, and it looks somewhat fragile and easily knocked down.

When will we see a robust, dual aperture fold down rear sight that is windage & elevation adjustable, akin to a modified ARMS #40 or GG&G A2?

Anyone with inside info (Wes Grant, Coldblue, 3rdtk, etc..)
care to tease us with some details???

The KAC 600 meter is hardly fragile, does not knock down easily and is adjustible from 200 - 600 meters. Where about's in NY are you? If I get a chance I'll show you mine.

I agree with Vinnie....I have a KAC 600 and it is adjustable down to 200 m. It is extremely durable and dirt resistant. I wouldnt use any other flip up rear on my KAC SR-15 Match / Varminter.

Hey Wes/Paul. Hope you guys are keeping dry up there.
What would be better, ARMS #40 or KAC 600M Flip? I'm mounting this to a Bushmaster M4. I currently went the chopped carry handle and it seems to work fine as a stop-gap until I break down and get a BUIS. Alot of the guys in my Dept. are staying with the full carry handle on issued weapons but are chopping them on personal ones. I like the ARMS #40 but am I giving up accuracy by using it at say max 300 meters? Or should it be just as accurate as the standard irons? Respectfully submitted......

The large aperate is used for 0-200 meters and the small aperature is 300 meters so no you give up nothing unless you want to shoot 400, 500 or 600 meters.

Thanks Wes. I have a 16" M4 Pre-Ban (Bayo lug, Fold stock, A3 upper, Ect.) with a Aimpoint Comp, M68 ARMS mount w/full spacer. I'm looking to get rid of the chopped carry handle I use now for an ARMS #40 or KAC BUIS. 0 to at max of 75 yds. is the range I'm shooting in so I guess the ARMS #40 with large ap. is going to give me good shot placement, that is if the Aimpoint craps out. We have to qualify on iron sights so if I take off the Aimpoint and use the ARMS #40 should I be able to shoot effectively in the 0-50 yard range?
