1. Can it be practically mounted on TOP of the A2 carry handle, with an ARMS #2 for example?

2. What is the difference between the 510 Tactical series and the 550 Military series units? The Military units are more expensive, but why?

Thanks!

I can't say for the mount question; mine is on a flattop. I think the difference is the military are compatible with night vision (the 511 is too bright for the NVG).

You don't want to mount via a #2 ARMS mount, this will put your EOTech way to high for a proper cheek weld and zero. It will have a large difference in point of impact between 25 to 100 yds. Use a PRI goose neck mount for mounting to carry handle, and you will also benefit from co-witness with the iron sight.

551 and 510 are different because the 551 is mil-spec where the 510 is not, also the 551 is NV capable.

If the ARMS #2 is no good, what mount should I use, and where can I find it?

Precision Reflex makes a gooseneck mount that will work with the new M4 handguards, and it is perfect for the EOTech.

EOTech makes a gooseneck mount, so does ARMS, ARMS#39 is a great mount, but it will not clear a M4 double heat sheild handguard. most people uses a standard handguard, or a buttom M4, and a standard top handguard to clear the mount.

Call Wes at MSTN for more purchase info.

Thanks Chen! I ordered one RPI gooseneck from MSTN. My handguards are the new double heat shielded type, so thanks for the tip and "heads up"!
