I have been looking for a long time for Mags that are smoke or semi-clear- any ideas?

I saw that somebody posted a pic of an aluminum mag with a clear view window on its side but I have not seen any clear AR15 mags yet.  HK, I think makes them in 223 but its for their G36 rifle.  Maybe somebody will make a similar clear click-together mag for AR's like the HK ones on the future.  Good luck!!

It was a prototype mag from Magpul, and it has not entered production. It was a display model for the 2006 SHOT Show.

I'm not aware of any clear mags for the AR15, but I am not an expert.

Ram line made some clear mags for the AR-15, but I hear they were crap.

That would be great, so you could see how many rounds you have left.
Whoever comes out with a reliable one, will make a lot of money!

I expect Rich's gang at MAGPUL to do just that... make a reliable one. I have full confidence in them with all the excellant products they have made.

Here's the link to the DPMS smoke magazines from Midway. They're 10 rounders.

I spoke with my Rep. at Eagle mags today and she told me they should have 30 round clear and smoke mags soon.

If there's enough interest I'll try to put a group buy together when they come out.

I have two of the Pre-94 Eagle magazines and they are very reliable.  In fact, I've never had a failure with them except for one that was 'user error.'  The only drawback is that they are on the fragile side.  Hopefully Eagle will solve that with the new production magazines.

I tried the Ram-Line mag and they were without a doubt the WORST mags I ever had.  I returned them at once.

I had a couple of the early Eagle mags also. I had one that the funky "clock" spring came detached. I had another one that was for a Mini-30 that came apart at the seem....I will not buy another one inless the design has changed dramatically.....just my experience.

You could always count.  At any given time I can tell you exactly how many rounds I have in my mag.

Those are the Eagle magazines discussed in this thread.

I tried Googling Ealg industries, eagle producst, etc. but could not find a website for these guys. Does anyone have any contact information for them?

BTW, back when I owned a Mini-14 I used bunches of the Eagles mags with excellent results.

I had though that they were driven out of business by the AWB.

No, but they were relegated to the 10 round 10/22 and Remington magazine business so they almost dropped off the map.

I've never found a web site for them either.
