Why does 44mag sell out of orange magpul followers so quickly?  Is it because they're more popular or is it because that they're less avaliable because most of the production capacity if geared towards gray magpuls?

It could be because they sell out.  I know my last set of mags ordered from them, all came with orange magpuls.

I have to admit that I got some of the grey followers from Magpul last month and I just ordered the orange ones this time through.   Unfortunately new mags are out of the question in PRNY and our sponsers steadfastly refuse to violate New York state law, so I buy what pre-ban mags I can and rebuild as needed.   Old mags with worn finishes and grey followers just have no bling to them so I thought I would make a fashion statement by using the orange followers this time around.

I was concerned about the followers when I first saw them. , but the surface contact area is actually pretty small and they slid smoothly even befoe I cleaned out the inside of the magazines.  (As a former Q.A. Engineer, I like to test things like this.)   And, of course, they don't tilt.    So, being form western NY, all I can say is GO ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have to be selling pretty fast from 44mag.com and other dealers. I personally prefer the orange version for visual id purposes, and have got over 30 new mags in the last three weeks from multiple dealers with the orange ones already installed. Not to mention the followers themselves that I have ordered straight from MP.

ORANGE, been using them in my new rifle. I have replaced all the OEM followers in all my mags. I have even tried these in some less than quilty mags. They make them work.
