Well, you see, the Teflon coating keeps the aluminum from rusting in a marine environment

What about the bozo's at the shows still trying to get $30-$35 for old surplus mags. Are they just stupid or what?

Heay  In Dallas we get two camps when it comes to AR mags the $20 Gun dealers, and the $12- $15 mag wholesalers. I dont mind $12 because well, the guy has got to eat, but I steer clear of gundeals mixed with the overpriced mags. I look at it alot like the Movie theatre candy. Some people are not frugal enough to sneak in their own milk duds.

I doubt if the Navy buys SPECIAL mags for the Seals.
I would suspect the GAO buys them for all branches of the service.
(but I could be wrong)

That's classic gun show material. What is it about gun shows that bring out the Navy SEAL-Spec Ops-Delta Force-Ranger in all these guys? These guys think that everyone is stupid enough to believe all the BS they're telling.

Another +1 for 44mag.com. I'll be ordering more from them in the near future.

Those were the adjectives used before the word "Tactical" became so accepted, common, hyped &  oober snazzy!    Now anything "tactical" automatically is associated w/ the Seals/Spec Ops/Delta/Ranger etc.etc. etc.  So I guess the guys that were selling trying to sell those mags suffer from Old School Hype Advertising Syndrome or OSHA Syndrome for short.

Just about everything the Seals use is customized for them.  They may use a special mag, but I doubt they'd be out at a gun show for sale.  Gun show bullshit...'

In reality ya'll most informed people like people here order their stuff online and the main reason vendors do this shit is because it works on most gun owners.  And they then turn into the little know it alls that we talk about in other threads.  They are their to make money, and bullshit works.

I bought three of those D&H mags last weekend at the show for $12.95 each ('cause I wanted 'em NOW).  Standard magazines...standard packaging...SEAL-specific?  NOT A CHANCE!

What chaps me is the folks selling OLD used 30 round mags for $15 and more.  What gall!

It's because that poor bastard bought that beta-mag for 500 or 600  bucks during the ban and he ain't about to lose no money on it.
