I've been on the road all week so I get home and see a nice little box from Magpul.  The followers I ordered arrived.  So rather than doing my expenses I decided to replace some of the black followers in my old mags.  Put them in and then I see the problem.  I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE RED ONES!!!!!!  I won't make that mistake again.

Those gray ones just look too dull sitting in my old care worn mags.  Since I live in NY I have to rebuild old ones since everyone know just how more deadly the new mags are.  All kidding aside, I really like them.  Very clever design.

They are indeed, gaweidert.

I must say they are no-tilt alright. Great improvement

I prefer the old coyote brown color, but grey will do.  I may get a few orange ones for black teflon mags, but I don't know why...

If you can see what color they are, you're out of ammo & the color of your follower shouldn't be a priority!

I like the grey ones. They match my hair better.

In typical ARFCOM fashion, I have both orange and grey.

I never seen it as a big need to change out my green "anti tilt" followers for the Magpuls ones, man was I wrong.  I just installed them about an hour ago so I haven't had the chance to shoot them yet but these mags really are anti tilt.  Can't wait to try them.

I don't see any reason to buy new mags without Magpul followers in them unless they're $7 per mag or less.  I got a bunch of the coyote ones a while back and I'm sold on them.

I never had a problem with black followers, but I changed them to green just to be safe. I never had a problem with green followers, either, but now....

shit.

I'm looking for Black Magpul followers. Got to be less Conspicous. I buy all grey, nothing bright. AR15  USGI mil-spec aluminum mags . These have grey Mapgul followers and the desirable black teflon finish.

I like the grey, goes better with my pumps.

Really, who cares? The only time this would matter if your a lefty and can see the port.

Is there a color consistency problem with these magpuls from batch to batch?
Some look red-orange, and others look clearly orange.

I have a couple of very old mags with black followers that I bought used during the ban.  1 of them had lots of problems with the shells nosediving thus turning my AR into a single shot.  This happened 8 times in 30 rounds!  I rebuilt the mag with green followers (all I had at the time) and new springs and it now functions perfectly.  Could have been the spring but for 3 for $6.95, might as well change to magpuls too!

Sounds exactly like me. I'm so behind the times that only two days ago did I change out all my black followers with green ones. Damn.

So the new ones are more orange, and the older ones a little more red-orange?
