Anyone have a line on where I might be able to find a Sten Mag Loader? I'll be hitting the gun show this weekend, but have not seen them there in the recent past.

Thanks guys,
Nox

Try Ohio Ordnance Works - they used to have Sten loaders. I'm at work right now and their website is filtered, so I can't double check to see if they still have them. Make sure you get the ring type as those function the best.

Ouch! $35 for a loader. I may be bringing out the tourch.

Thanks for the info.

Sarco, Gun Parts Corporation, Vulcan have them. I know Vulcan has a bad rep but they are making new Sten mag loaders. They have them on their website.

Try using a dowel rod to compress the follower/spring, then use a small allen wrench poked through a witness hole to hold the follower back. Remove dowel rod and turn mag upside down and load easily. Best method I've seen, and cheaper than buying a loader.

mg34.com has the good "box/ring" type- also around $30-$35 IIRC. i got one from Tapco for less than $10 that is styled like the factory glock loaders and made from steel. the $35 box/ring type work slick if you load alot of sten mags.
