I have an Essential Arms Lower Receiver.  The other day I bought 2 30-round Colt Mags that were refinished.  When I put them in I had to wiggle and push em in place... then to take em out I had to use alot of force to get em back out... too much force really.  I called the guy i bought em from and he is exchanging them.  I havent received the new ones yet but, has anyone heard of EA lowers having this problem?

The preban rifle I bought came with one 30 round mag with a center industries stamped endplate.  On the side of the mag there is a "3 / 00" stamped on it.  Is this a legal Pre-ban mag or am I going to get in some trouble if caught with it?

The "3/00" is for LEO/Military use ONLY.  Get rid of it.

The other mags might be out of spec.  I have an EA lower and don't have any problems with it.  Try some other mags before looking at the receiver.

Ok, thanks for the info guys.  He seems like he knows what he's doing.  He works a gunshow in north carolina and sells mags of all types and ammo.  Seemed knowledgable with them and seems to be good on his word about backing up everything he sells.

The mag I got with the rifle... GONE!!
