First, these mags are produced by Center Industries (6P199 is Center's CAGE code).

Second, these mags are definitely post-ban, and therefore Restricted to LEO/goverment use only.  Although Center was required to put a "Restricted..." warning on their mags like everyone else, they failed to do this until mid-2001, so post-ban Center mags with 10/94-xx/01 date stamps will not have the warning.  They are still post-ban and still restricted, however.

As an LEO, you are supposed to provide letterhead to the FFL you're buying mags from stating that these mags are authorized for duty use.  However, many FFLs don't follow the law and will sell these mags to anyone who flashes a badge.  And there are many non-FFLs who are illegally in possession of these restricted mags and will sell them to anyone who will buy them.

So, the question becomes: how important is it for you to follow the letter of the law?  Some departments would never try to enforce a minor issue like this on one of their officers.  Others not only would press the issue, but would try to "make an example" of the officer.  ATF has prosecuted a *small* number of cases like this against LEOs, usually with the support of the department.

In 11 months and days, the AW ban will be gone, and this will be a non-issue (assuming a MAJOR reversal in agendas doesn't come about between now and then).
