I hope I can find somebody who can explain a conflicting issue. MD bans mags over 20rd capacity. I was told if I purchase a 30rd mag out of state (talking pre ban)it was ok to bring it into MD. and use it in a pre or post-ban rifle. I was also told that I should not bring any 30rd mags to any MD. rifle range, or have any 30rd mags in my possession. Every time I ask this question I get a different answer - Can I use pre-ban 30rd mags in MD. or not? Thanks in advance for the replies.

I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding of the law is it's illegal to buy or sell mags over 20 round capacity in MD. Possession is fine. So travel to PA, buy all you want and bring them back.

You might want to try posting this in the maryland hometown boards.

There should be someone there who can help.

Bigy is correct.  They are illegal to purchase or sell.  You cant buy them in another state and bring them in either.  All your 20+ round mags were purchased BEFORE maryland band them.  Right?
