I'm looking to buy 1,000 rounds of preferably of PMC X-Tac. I'm looking for a good online vendor with good prices and cheap shipping. Thanks.

Sgammo is great but I pay sales tax

Instead I just plug what I want into ammoseek.com and let it tell me where to get my ammo goodies

S&G Ammo is where I buy 90% of my ammo. They run an industry subforum here and actually respond to questions about their products and the ammo market with refreshing candor. Fantastic business.

SGammo has good prices and is good people but GODDAMN their website needs some work. Sort tools that go beyond caliber or manufacturer (but can't even do both at the same time) are needed badly. I tried to buy from them for the federal rebate but just gave up wading through pages and pages of wolf and tula in various counts. I have used Midway USA quite a lot when sales and free shipping promos hit, just used Ammunition Depot for the federal rebate.

Sgammo, laxammo, PSA, AIMsurplus, Target Sports, Midway, Brownells. I've bought from many vendors and generally purchase from whoever has the best delivered price on the ammunition I want.

Maybe it's just me, but I've found the midway sight to suck balls from an ease of navigation point of view....and the vast majority of their free shipping offers exclude ammo. Shortly after the election last year they did have a "spend over $99 and get free shipping" deal that DID include ammo and I scored two cases of 12ga 00 from S&B for $64.99/ea, shipped. That rocked. Haven't seen free shipping on ammo since then.

Target sports
MASS ammo
Palmetto
Walmart - sometimes if I see a deal

and then way down the line is the local LGS and thats only if I need a box or two of defensive ammo.

I've shot X-tac before and it ran fine seemed pretty clean and consistent. I was just going to get the 55gr as it's normally cheaper than the 62gr. Thanks to everyone for all suggestions.

UPS just delivered 1800 rds of Malaysian 7.62X51mm to my shop. Ordered 9/6 and delivered 9/8 from AimSurplus. The price was the same at SGAMMO, but shipping was $6.00 lower at AimSurplus.
