Very good prices, but include their shipping prices and the prices are no longer a deal. |

The price and availability of 9mm sure stakes the point that it's an economical and well supplied round for shooting. .300 at 1.5x the price of .223 helps .300 look good to me too. Pre-covid it was at least 2x the price of .223 I shoot way more .300 (suppressed) than .223, so I am happy to see the cartridge stay popular and relatively affordable. Brownell's CCI #41 primers $104 ouch, limit 2 |

Stopped by an Academy north of Houston and they had a ton of ammo but at still high prices. .223/5.56 was all $0.65-$0.73/rnd but they had Win, Fed, Aguila 5.56. The big surprise was that they had 1000 round ammo cans of RUAG HC (ss109/m855). Never seen that at any chain stores. It was $700 which is stupid considering it's available on the Norma/RUAG site for $470 shipped

What are you guys paying for .223 hunting ammo and 5.56 62GR and 55GR FMJ?

Modern-outfitters has xm556sbct3 (fbit3/tbbc) in stock for $25 a box again right now. More than i would normally pay for them personally, but that’s because i already have a small stockpile i got from bonefrog a while back.
I’ve seen Le223t3 for as much as $40 though, so it’s definitely not the worst price I’ve seen for tbbc. I prefer the 5.56 pressure of the xm556 over the lower .223 pressure of the le223t3 flavor anyways. The le223 does have a nickle case though in case that factors in for anyone. I did throw 2 boxes of the xm556sbc in the cart when i ordered some other stuff from modern outfitters, so I’ll update here on whether or not it’s the same legit stuff i got from bone frog (stripper clips, sealed case, etc. Hope this helps someone who’s looking for 5.56 bonded softpoints. Imho the tbbc is one of the best out there. |

Looking for a decent ammo vendor that's consistent. 5.56 for HD / shtf. Right now the budget calls for buying 50 rds at a time every few weeks for so.

Since material and stuff is still getting harder and harder to get yet prices continue to drop does that mean there was simply a huge market up to start?

If you sell your house now are you a gouger? How about crypto or stocks? Most of the time ammo has an incredibly low margin. |

View Quote lol, tell that to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton: The Texas AG's office has identified ammunition as a necessity and, as a result, is arguing that those price hikes were against the Texas Business and Commerce Code. The code forbids businesses from "taking advantage of a disaster" by selling "fuel, food, medicine, lodging, building materials, construction tools or another necessity at an exorbitant or excessive price." Midway has free ship with $49, and ammunition is eligible.
Bought a 100 round box of the Winchester M1152 just to try out along with a bunch of factory seconds 9mm FMJ's. Not the best pricing by far but it's better than not having anything and not going shooting. |

I received the dreaded "backorder has been cancelled" letter from Sportsman's Guide. They included a $25 discount on a future order.
Magtech, 9mm, FMJ, 115 Grain, 250 Rounds Buyer's Club $81.69 (or $85.99 non) For 250 rounds - with the discount certificate - 26 cpr incl tax to my door. I bought 500 rounds at 30 cpr. Non Buyer's club wouldn't be a good deal at over 34 cpr Sure wish they wouldn't have cancelled my 1000 rnds of UMC for 23 cpr |
