Got an email this morning from Midway USA for their IMI M193 450rd box for $109.99 here. The website isn't reflecting the price but they're fixing it and will honor the $109 price. Money came out to $122 after shipping. Not too bad.

Does anyone think the price of .300 blk will go down after the new year? I know Targetsports has had a case for around $400 ish but hasn't had that for a long time. Seems to me like the prices have gone up the past few weeks.

Not sure what would make it go lower after Christmas, but hope springs eternal. The Hornady 125g supers posted above is the best price I've ever noticed for supers, though. I went deep. $105 for 200 rds PLUS an ammo "can" is pretty darn good by .300 standards. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Originally Posted By Enzo300:

I've noticed 300blk trickling up on normal stock as well, but you can still find some pretty awesome deals on factory loads.
The 400 Nosler 110g varmageddons in an ammo can for $212.00 shipped mentioned earlier in this thread was an amazing deal. As is the 125g Hornady Gunner. Stillwood ammo, while loaded a little light (at least the batch I've tested), is very reasonably priced and seems to be of decent quality. Good HD ammo. SG ammo had the magtech 123G fmj for .38c a round, IIRC. |

There is a thread over in the PSA Industry section from their rep about this very question. No difference, same exact ammo, only difference is where the bulk-packaging/boxing is done by Federal prior to shipping to PSA. Federal created this new SKU for sale to PSA. It is included in the Rebate in writing per PSA and Federal. Good luck.

To cross-check that, what I'm seeing is that most of the ~30 cent brass cased ammo (i.e. Wolf Gold), is still tracking close to that 30 cent price point. Spot-checking today, and Wolf Gold is going for about 27 cents a round or higher (and not with free shipping). I'm not finding any other cost-effective brass cased ammo doing any better. Frankly, even today - you can barely find Wolf Steel, for this price point (Delivered); and you'll have to shop a bit to do that! While I'm not the biggest fan of M855 ammo (Accuracy and terminal performance; banned by many ranges; plus it's a bit overhot and will wear your gun a little faster). That said, this is a Hell of a deal. Even if you are a bulk reloader using free brass, you're hard pressed to reload for the 1/2 price threshold that this M855 ammo is going for. At a guess (just conjecture here), Federal has a mountain of M855 materials, and .gov is swapping over to M855A1; making that inventory something they want to get rid of. Meaning, they're dumping. When that is dumped and gone, so too will be this price-point on brass cased 5.56. So.. great buy. But beware, PSA says Federal is going to add XM855CSF to their rebate list in a few days. They said that a week ago, and it's still not on the form, only XM855CS is on the form. So you are going to have to have faith in PSA and Federal that they both will were correct and that Federal is actually going to follow-thru on their email promise to PSA that PSA says they got. As of this morning, the rebate form still isn't listing XM855CSF; and it's a normal work day today. I'm going to buy, but not until that form actually gets updated. I've been around the block long enough to know that while everyone involved has the best of intentions, when it comes time to write a bunch of $50 checks 2 months from now, and the form isn't agreeing with my UPC code - you don't get paid. I'll wait for them to fix that first. |
