Was at a local gun shop the other day and found some IMI M193. Lot 00257/J, headstamped 98.

Owner made me a deal(?) for $6.50 a box. Not the best deal per round I know, but given the dearth of milsurp ammo here I snatched up all 14 boxes he had.

Any feedback? Reason I ask is the boxes are 30 rounds and I have never seen this before.

TIA

IMI M193 is great ammo. I have shot several cases of it....all of the IMI M193 ammo I have ordered or seen has been in 30 round cardboard boxes.

Clean, accurate, consistant!!!

Good stuff, not a great price. I remember getting it from Botach for like $185 for 1200 rds delivered. Oh for the good old days...

I knew from the oracle that IMI was good stuff but I had never seen a 30 round box of ammo.

Thanks for the replies.

Not that bad of a deal actually, considering where the prices are now. I just paid $200 for 1k of American Eagle .223, which comes to .20 per round. You're looking at about .226 per round for M193 spec ammo.

I'm guessing it looks like this?
