This stuff

It's cheap, and surplus.  Am I better off going with the South African surplus?

I bougt 480 rounds of the stuff and found it to shoot well, I was very pleased! It was 1975 manufacture India headstamp. I'd definitely buy more.

oh.... by the way... I've been reading that 80's and 90's manufacture had some quality control problems..... necks peeled down, bullets seated to far, bent cases and so forth.BUT.... cant beat the price either! I've been shooting it out of my .308 bolt rifle and my cetme.

This stuff can be real spotty. Be prepared to hand sort your ammo. Unless you like headaches, go with the SA.

Just looking around.  I'm about to buy an AR-10 this weekend and wondering what ammo to buy  I'll probably buy the SA stuff.  It's a good thing my wife doesn't venture into the den...or into the safe.

Yep, just got some SA shipped for about 17.5 per rd.  Not bad for what I consider a quality plinking round.  Yes, could be better, but now days, I won't complain.

Well, the gun is coming with about 250 rounds of Indian .308.  I'm going to be ordering some SA 308 today.

If I was going to shoot Indian .308 in any quantity, I'd invest in a cartridge case guage. The lot I had I practically gave away.
