16" Bushie Superlight, approx 60F, Pact #1 chrono.

Wally World Winchester 55 FMJ. 2940 fps

XM193 control load, 3175 fps

As you can see, the 223 load is 235 fps slower than the XM193.

The Winchester 223 load cycled fine but I did have a failure to feed with a 20 round mag due to bullet setback, not good.

Just thought someone might be interested. There's an ammo shortage going on, but the Winchester 223 load seems to have some shortcomings.

I've always known it wasn't a hot load, but it punches through paper with no problem, and that's all i need. It's also cleaner than any cheap remington, or wolf. I've never had a malfunction with it, not even a failure to feed.

I have over 1200 rounds of it sitting in my bedroom as a matter of fact. I thought about getting more...

Thanks for the chrono info though...

The bullet setback could have been a magazine issue. I just tried a new 30, topped off, and the round chambered fine. No sign of bullet setback. The mag I was using was a rather dated 20... That, no M4 ramps, and a light crimp equaled a failure though.

I just chrono'ed some Guatemalan 5.56 and some XM193PD today. The XM only clocked in at 2907 fps out of my 16" mutt. As far as I know my chrono is accurate. I've never chrono'ed any ammo out of my AR before. I wonder if the PD is not up to par velocity wise as the regular XM193.

I don't know, but the XM193 and SA M193 I've got really smokes.

My XM193 does 3091 fps out of a 14.5" Bushy barrel.

I have shot several hundred rounds of the Wally World white box with no feed problems in a Bushy 16, Bushy Varminter and HK93. Its good stuff and extremely accurate.
