Wolf is fine.  Better for plinking and doing drills, not as powerfull or accurate as some other ammo, but what it lacks in velocity it more than makes up for in affordability.  I know what I'm talking about, I've got somewhere around 25,000 rounds of the stuff through my rifles.

Oh, and In Before the Wolf Haters. IBWH.

The purists on here wll tell you No No dont use it, we use it for plinking in most weapons that will run it.

Some weapons dont like it and you may decide that you are uncomfortable running it in top of the line stuff.

There is about 30 of us here that shoot together 75% use Wolf with no problem

Its just about choice and weapon tolerance

I also have 2 new Bushmasters. They are like yours, exept 1 has a heavy barrel. I have fired several hundred rounds thru each and not 1 problem. Yet my good ammo has failed me on a couple occasions once or twice. Good practice ammo, no complaints.

It kicked my dog.   It told my duaghter I wasn't really her dad, and had an affair with my wife.  Do you want to invite that into your home??  Do ya????

Runs fine.  Dirty.  Not terribly accurate.  Good for blasting cans or for running close-range courses.

From what I gather. . .    Wolf is a poor choice for defense or SHTF scenarios, because the bullets don't fragment on impact.  The reduced velocity and the bullet construction (thick jacket) prevent that, so it's much less lethal.  It's also dirty, might smell funny, and is not the most accurate stuff out there.

Most people find it reliable.  For plinking and practice it seems to be perfectly adequate.

I would happily shoot  jackrabbits and armadillos with it.

The new stuff has grey cases, the old stuff was brownish/greenish. Not made anymore.

If you can, get the 62 grain stuff.  In my experience it is more accurate than the 55 grain stuff.

Wolf is some good stuff.

I've been through over 10 cases of it in the past couple years in various calibers (5.45, .223, 7.62x39, 9mm, .40, and .45) with about 7 cases of .223 alone.

I've only had 3 or 4 malfunctions I would attribute to the ammo and I continue to buy more and more of it.

+1 on the 62gr stuff. I could got a .75" group at 50yds while sighting in with that stuff. The 55gr was a little worse.

I only had one problem with it and that was that the rim of the steel case broke off and would not extract. If I were you I would take a small wooden dowel that is just long enough to punch out the case if that happens

I did not have one and wanted to continue shooting ended up breaking my cleaning rod
