I bought a Colt 9mm carbine this weekend and was looking for some advice on ammo.

I have searched and found great info on 9mm pistol, but not much on the rifle. I would like to
find the best and stick with it. The rifle is used for home defence, but hopfully will only see about a 1,000 rds a month at the range.

Also, if it will work well in my 92FS all the better.

Thanks for your time.

+1. I have shot thousands of rounds of Blazer with zero problems.

I shoot a 147 grain hard cast lead bullet running about 1050. Accurate as all get out, cycles perfectly, and very easy to clean. Run a bore snake 3-4 times, hose out the lower with brake cleaner and relube and DONE. Cheap as heck to shoot.

Straight from the COLT AR-15A2® manual --

In general, most any SAMMI spec ammo will serve the purpose.
